The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A solid body kick from Malverde.
Axe takes a jab right on the kisser.

It looks like Jon Axe has been cut.
Axe sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Axe takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Malverde looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Axe avoids a kick to the body.
A little jabbing left from Axe on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Axe walks into a left hand.
Axe throws a lazy right hand but Malverde sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

A slapping leg kick lands for Malverde.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Malverde holds on and takes a little breather.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Malverde has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Axe finds it's way round the side to connect with Malverde's head.
Axe throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Malverde counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Axe lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Malverde swings away with a body shot that misses
and Axe connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Axe scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Malverde throws a hook to the side of Axe's head but Axe sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Axe throws an off balance right hand
and Malverde counters with a nice low kick that buckles Axe's knee momentarily.
Axe fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Malverde looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Axe takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Malverde lands a nice shot that snaps Axe's head back.
Malverde lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Axe falls backwards - clearly groggy! Malverde dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
