Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hung White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nolan Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nolan Diaz has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Hung White's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hung White!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nolan Diaz!
The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Francis DeMontford and Ron Honeybunn.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Diaz fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. White sprawls well initially but Diaz persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Diaz tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
White knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Diaz on the ground.
Diaz is looking to advance position but White won't allow it.
White is refusing to be controlled, as Diaz sits in half guard.

Diaz is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. White doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Diaz.

Diaz decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
White stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and White wants it to stay on the feet.

Diaz goes for a double leg but White avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as White continues to drive forward.
White half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

White drops down looking for a counter takedown but Diaz sprawls and moves away.

White seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.

Diaz postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! White is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Diaz, into his guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Hung White will probably get the nod.
That's time! White's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


White looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Diaz has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Diaz is trying to ground and pound but White uses the momentary lack of control by Diaz to regain half guard.

Diaz is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and White defends it well.

Diaz shoots for a double leg takedown but White sprawls well. He's pushed Diaz's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

White appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Nice takedown defense from White. No joy for Diaz on that attempt.

White will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

White feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Hung White.
I think White has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
