Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Felix Legions (ranked 172 p4p, 19 weight class) and Satoru Takada (ranked 906 p4p, 108 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Felix Legions has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Felix Legions seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Legions throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Takada looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Legions scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Legions pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Legions throws the kick towards the body but Takada avoids it.
A little jabbing left from Takada on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
A chopping leg kick lands by Legions.

Legions gets a takedown into half guard.

Takada pushes Legions off and gets back to his feet.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Legions uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Takada.
Takada tries to clinch up but Legions circles away and keeps his distance.
Takada throws the left hand but Legions avoids the punch easily.
Takada looks to score with a jab to the body but Legions is just out of range.
Takada misses with a straight right.
Legions is looking to counter with head kicks.
Legions avoids the body shot from Takada.
Satoru Takada is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

We've been informed that Takada has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Takada moves out of range of the body kick from Legions.
Takada takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Legions tries to bum rush Takada with a series of wild strikes but Takada uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Takada misses with a two punch combination.
Legions does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Legions jabs Takada to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Legions misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Takada throws out a loose jab but Legions uses good head movement to avoid it.
A little feinted left hand from Legions on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Legions misses with a body shot.
Legions bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Legions manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Takada on his heels. He'll look to pass Takada's guard now, I'm sure.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Legions postures up and lands a big shot to Takada's brow.

Legions postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Takada is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Takada utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Legions throws a strike but Takada rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Legions pulls Takada in close to his closed guard and prevents Takada from doing any damage or advancing position.
Legions tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Legions looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Legions has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Legions has Takada pulled in close to control his posture.
Takada stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Legions swivels though and keeps the full guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Legions is on top in guard.

Legions throws a big elbow that misses.
Legions tries to free his leg and advance position but Takada is retaining full guard.

Legions drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Takada dives on top into guard.

Takada is posturing up here but Legions has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Takada tries to roll out but it's too tight and Takada has to tap! Slick submission there by Legions!

Felix Legions is the new featherweight champion!
Felix Legions decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
