The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Curran waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Spike.
Curran throws a lazy body kick

and Spike moves into the clinch.
We've been informed that Spike has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Curran can't find room to land a body shot as Spike controls the action.
Spike looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Curran lands an uppercut.
Curran tries to throw a body punch but Spike avoids it by throwing Curran back against the cage.
Curran lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Curran prevents a body shot from Spike.

Spike swings for the body but Curran moves out of range.

Spike appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Curran looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Spike misses with a body shot.
Spike throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Curran connects with a right hand. Spike shakes it off.
Spike lands a body shot.
Spike scores with a jab to the head.

It looks like Randy Curran has been cut.

Curran swings for the body but Spike moves out of range.
Spike tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Spike lands a nice leg kick that just misses Curran's sensitive parts.

Spike displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Curran throws out the jab.

The fighters circle momentarily. Curran darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Curran throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Spike misses with a jab, cross combination.
Spike throws out a loose jab but Curran uses good head movement to avoid it.
Spike walks into a stiff left hand from Curran.
Spike blocks a head kick by Curran.
Spike throws a counter combo.
Spike steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Curran.
Curran swings widly with a right hand
and Spike counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Spike keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Spike looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Curran tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Spike was well out of range. Poor timing from Curran.
Curran fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Spike manages to avoid it.
Spike tries to clinch there but Curran circles away.
Curran digs a good body shot into Spike's ribs.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Curran.
Curran goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Spike lands a head kick. Curran smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Curran tries to land a body kick
and Spike counters with a two punch combo.
Curran throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Curran darts in and clinches Spike up against the cage.
Curran misses with a punch on the inside.
Curran cracks Spike with a nice body shot.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Curran.
Curran softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Curran goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Curran misses with a hook to the ribs.
Curran doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Curran pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Curran connects with a single shot there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Randy Curran dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Randy Curran's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Spike works over Curran's head and body with a nice combination.
Curran misses with a looping left.
Spike gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Curran.
A shot to the liver by Curran. Beautiful body shot.
Curran stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Curran throws a push kick but Spike slaps the foot to one side.
Curran throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Curran lands a nice looking body kick.
That kick from Curran tenderised Spike's leg. Spike is trying to keep his angry face on.
A solid body kick from Curran.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Curran lands a big right hand that sends Spike crashing to the mat! Curran stays standing though and waves Spike back to his feet!

Spike is rocked!
Spike is breathing heavily.
Curran throws an uppercut from hell that sends Spike clean off his feet! He's out cold! Curran stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Randy Curran!
