The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Sandra Marshall and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lancefield drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Lancefield is looking to pass into half guard but Paarma pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Paarma is in guard.
Paarma has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Lancefield is proving hard to escape from.
Paarma trying to control but Lancefield is working from the bottom.
Lancefield is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Lancefield has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Paarma is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Lancefield.
Paarma tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Paarma in side control, just content to control the action for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lancefield seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Lancefield is trying to control. Paarma wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Lancefield might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Paarma haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Lancefield maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Paarma could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Lancefield has cracked it and Paarma is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Lancefield!
