The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Pederson. Bel does a little dance to reset his feet.

Pederson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Pederson wants to free his trapped foot but Bel is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Bel is looking to escape.
Bel keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Pederson is controlling the pace.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pederson seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Bel really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pederson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Pederson is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Bel has managed to free his arm - good work.

Pederson is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Bel doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Pederson.
Pederson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Pederson has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Bel uses from the top position.
Bel is fighting to break Pederson's control of his arms but Pederson is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Pederson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
