The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Battle darts in and clinches Accardo up against the cage.

Accardo manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Accardo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Battle gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Battle preventing the sweep.

Accardo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Battle can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Battle won't allow Accardo to sweep him here.
Accardo is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Battle trying to control the position from guard on top but Accardo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Battle thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Battle avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Accardo is trying to keep Battle in close.

Accardo is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Battle defends well.
Battle knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Accardo on the ground.
