Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Damien OQuinn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jhon Snow!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Leandro Rodrigues and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from OQuinn. No joy for Snow on that attempt.
OQuinn fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Snow misses with a takedown attempt

and OQuinn counters by clinching up.
Snow jumps guard but OQuinn turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Damien OQuinn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jhon Snow.
Snow blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Snow has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by OQuinn after a bit of a struggle.
A right hand to the body from OQuinn.
OQuinn swings away with an uppercut that misses.
OQuinn working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
OQuinn scores with a hook to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
OQuinn is pressed up against the cage. Snow has hold of a leg and is looking to drag OQuinn down to the mat. OQuinn avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
OQuinn throws a right and a left that both miss.
OQuinn lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Snow backs up against the cage.


It looks like Jhon Snow has been cut.
Snow tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and OQuinn is able to avoid easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
A short left from OQuinn.
Snow blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Snow tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. OQuinn smiles and moves away.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Snow.
Snow is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and OQuinn moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Damien OQuinn!
An out of breath Damien OQuinn thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
