Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Montey Burned J (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronaldo Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Montey Burned J has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ronaldo Alves!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Sandra Marshall and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burned J throws a series of strikes that have Alves backpedaling.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Alves has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Burned J changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Alves tries to avoid it but Burned J manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Alves to the ground. Alves escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Horrible takedown attempt by Burned J or perhaps it was just good defense by Alves, which made it look bad.

so Alves counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Alves wants to control from the top but Burned J keeps moving.

Alves is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Burned J thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Alves has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Burned J can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Alves is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Alves connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Burned J some visible discomfort.

Burned J is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Alves's leg. Oh but that's left an opportunity for Alves! He's got an arm triangle... it looks tight! He's rotating and Burned J has tapped! This one is allllll over!
