Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Roman Boesku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shamil Gasanov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boesku shoots for a double leg takedown but Gasanov sprawls well. He's pushed Boesku's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Gasanov moves into range and clinches up with Boesku.
Gasanov should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

It looks like Roman Boesku has been cut.

Gasanov turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Gasanov goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Boesku has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Gasanov but great work by Boesku.

Gasanov tries to get back to half guard but can't.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Boesku swings around for an armbar but Gasanov sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Boesku's guard.

Boesku is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Boesku has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gasanov can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gasanov drops back looking for a leg! Boesku is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Boesku manages to kick Gasanov off! Gasanov jumps back into Boesku's guard.

Boesku had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Gasanov defends it easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
