Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bearmuda Tapan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sayeed Ahmed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ahmed is trying hard to land a takedown here. Tapan sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Tapan gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Ahmed slaps away a takedown attempt from Tapan, before circling back to the center of the mat.

and Tapan cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Tapan shoots in and drives through. Ahmed sprawls well.
Tapan misses with a series of wild punches.
Tapan throws a wild body kick that Ahmed sees coming a mile off.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Ahmed, right into the meat.
Ahmed is looking to clinch but Tapan is avoiding it.

Ahmed drives through with a takedown into Tapan's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Tapan seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Tapan escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ahmed gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Ahmed throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Tapan works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Ahmed wants to control from the top but Tapan keeps moving.

Tapan has his foot on Ahmed's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ahmed works his way back into a safe position though.

Tapan pulls Ahmed in close to prevent any damage.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Sayeed Ahmed dominated that round.
That's time! Tapan's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Ahmed pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Ahmed stuffs the takedown attempt from Tapan. Tapan gets slowly back to his feet.
Ahmed changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Tapan circles away from the clinch attempt.
Sayeed Ahmed seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Ahmed throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Tapan was covering up waiting for the punch and Ahmed finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Ahmed throws a series of punches but Tapan avoids them all with ease.

Tapan is trying to push Ahmed away but Ahmed has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Tapan slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Tapan accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Ahmed looking to hit a scissor sweep but Tapan is one step ahead there.

Tapan is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ahmed is just riding it out for now. Tapan eventually gives up the hold.
Tapan takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Bearmuda Tapan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sayeed Ahmed.

Ahmed is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Ahmed's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
