The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Longstreet displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Miranda.
Longstreet is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Longstreet has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Miranda fails with a takedown attempt.

Longstreet dives in and scores a takedown into Miranda's guard.
Longstreet prevents Miranda from getting back to his feet.
Longstreet cracks Miranda with a solid left hand.
Miranda wants to stand up but Longstreet is controlling him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Miranda tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Longstreet connects with a couple of short punches.
Longstreet trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Miranda is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Longstreet defends well.

Longstreet arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Miranda's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

Eric Longstreet decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
