The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nelson throws a left and a right that both miss
and Alves counters with a takedown into side control.
Nelson wants to get back to his feet but Alves is dominant here and he's now got Nelson's back!
Nelson is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Alves lands a punch to the side of the head from the back.
Nelson tries to roll but Alves sticks to his back.
Can Nelson hold on?! Alves is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
Nelson should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Nelson covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.

Alves throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Nelson!
Alves has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Nelson is in real trouble here. Alves gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Nelson is tapping out! Alves wins by rear naked choke!
