The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Sergei Dronov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alexandru slips under a jab from Ayigemi.
Ayigemi closes the distance and clinches.
Alexandru drags the fight down to the ground.

Alexandru has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Ayigemi has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Alexandru drops down looking for an ankle pick but Ayigemi pulls his leg out and moves away.
Alexandru gets in close and instigates a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Alexandru lands a hook to the side of the head.
Ayigemi is looking to control Alexandru's arms but Alexandru gets an underhook and turns him. Now Ayigemi has his back to the cage.

This has been an exciting period of action!
No joy there for Ayigemi, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Alexandru throws a leg kick but Ayigemi sees it coming and moves out of range.
Ayigemi throws a big counter combination but Alexandru scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Alexandru looks for a takedown but Ayigemi sprawls well.
Ayomide Ayigemi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sandu Alexandru.
Alexandru has taken the fight to the clinch.
Ayigemi pulls guard successfully.
Ayigemi is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Alexandru wants to control from the top but Ayigemi keeps moving.

Alexandru stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ayigemi swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Alexandru stays in close to Ayigemi's body and controls the position.
Alexandru must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Ayigemi is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Alexandru moves into the clinch.
Ayigemi keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Alexandru's efforts to push away.
Ayigemi wants the takedown. Alexandru is fighting it off but Ayigemi persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Alexandru's guard against the cage.
Alexandru wants to stand and escape but Ayigemi is having none of it.

That was a close round but I would say that Ayomide Ayigemi will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

and Alexandru counters with a two punch combo.
Ayigemi throws a sloppy head kick and Alexandru moves out of range easily.

Alexandru closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ayigemi circles away.
Ayomide Ayigemi is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Ayigemi gets tackled into the cage by Alexandru. Alexandru maintains the clinch.
Ayigemi really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Alexandru is pressed up against the cage. Ayigemi has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Alexandru down to the mat. Alexandru avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Ayigemi will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Alexandru reaches up and holds on to Ayigemi to control the position.
Ayigemi takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

That's time! Ayigemi's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Ayigemi has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Alexandru is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Ayigemi.
Alexandru wants to control for a moment but Ayigemi uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
Ayomide Ayigemi overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Alexandru unloads with some shots from mount but Ayigemi bucks and avoids them well.

Ayigemi is staying active underneath Alexandru, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Ayigemi is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Alexandru's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Alexandru's back!

You can see the frustration on Alexandru's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Ayigemi's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

Alexandru really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ayigemi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Ayigemi's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

I would just about give that final round to Sandu Alexandru.
