Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jordan Dahl!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mantak Cebu!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paul Aken and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good leg kick by Cebu there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Cebu throws a low kick, looking for Dahl's leg but Dahl calmly moves out of range.
Cebu throws a hook but Dahl blocks it.
Cebu misses with the body kick
and Dahl counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Dahl's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Dahl trying to control the position from guard on top but Cebu is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dahl advances position into side control!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cebu being controlled for a moment.
Dahl has hold of Cebu's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Cebu tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Dahl cranks the arm and Cebu screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Cebu, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Jordan Dahl!
