Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jasper Pulis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Gus McKenna!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Matti Vanhoillinen and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pulis looks to land a right hand but McKenna moved out of range.
Pulis tries to close the distance and clinch up but McKenna swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Danga de danga de dang - McKenna scores with a four punch combination!
Pulis takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Pulis throws a right and a left that both miss.
A little jabbing left from McKenna on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Pulis connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between McKenna's hands.


It looks like Gus McKenna has been cut.
A big left from McKenna misses.
Pulis throwing a counter right hand but McKenna manages to avoid it.
Pulis misses with a hook. McKenna ducked under it nicely.
Pulis swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and McKenna counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Pulis takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Pulis has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Spar Bros in the buildup to the fight.
McKenna clobbers Pulis with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Pulis falls off balance throwing a combination
and McKenna makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
McKenna throws a right and a left that both miss.
McKenna fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Pulis misses with a series of wild punches.
McKenna looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Pulis throws a hook but McKenna blocks it.
Pulis tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. McKenna manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pulis walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Pulis uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from McKenna.
Pulis misses with a double jab.
Pulis lands a right hook to the body.
Pulis slips a straight right by McKenna.
Pulis connects with a nice looking jab.
McKenna bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Pulis stuns McKenna with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Pulis walks into a stiff left hand from McKenna.
Pulis is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by McKenna.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from McKenna! But no joy.
Pulis darts in trying to clinch
and McKenna counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Pulis takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Pulis misses with a jab, cross combination.
McKenna connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Pulis misses with a left hand
and McKenna cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Pulis throws a big shot that misses.
McKenna might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A telegraphed right hand from Pulis misses the target.
Pulis rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and McKenna makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Jasper Pulis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McKenna swings and misses with a hook to the body.
McKenna lands a jab.
McKenna blocks a jab.
McKenna moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Pulis misses with a combination
and McKenna counters with a straight right hand.
Pulis misses with an uppercut.
Pulis misses with an uppercut
and McKenna counters with a left to the body.
That kick from McKenna tenderised Pulis's leg. Pulis is trying to keep his angry face on.
Pulis throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and McKenna counters with a series of strikes that really hurt Pulis! The ref looks into his eyes and sees nobody home - he's called the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gus McKenna!
Gus McKenna got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'
