Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Howard Stern (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paha Hemmo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stern comes to the cage accompanied by The Great American Nightmare. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hemmo blocks a head kick by Stern.
Hemmo throws a body punch but Stern moves out of range.

Stern drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Hemmo struggling a bit here.
Stern is working Hemmo over with some ground and pound from side control.
Hemmo gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Stern seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hemmo does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Hemmo has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Stern is on him like a limpet, forcing Hemmo back against the cage.
Hemmo is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Stern gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Howard Stern has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paha Hemmo.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Hemmo has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Hemmo is trying to force a seperation but Stern has the dominant position.
Stern drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Hemmo gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Hemmo swings wildly with an uppercut but Stern uses good head movement to avoid it.

Hemmo has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Stern is trying to keep an underhook but Hemmo manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Stern wants to control but Hemmo is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Hemmo is sitting in close to Stern's body. Stern has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Hemmo is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Hemmo is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Stern.
