Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ryuji O Reilly!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rokurou Kyo!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Shirou Masuda and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
O Reilly staying out of range there.
O Reilly looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
It looks like Ryuji O Reilly has been cut.
O Reilly throws a lazy right hand but Kyo sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Kyo jabbing away but nothing is landing.
O Reilly throws a poor cross that misses
and Kyo counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Kyo keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from O Reilly.
O Reilly swings widly with a right hand
and Kyo counters with a crisp right hand that drops O Reilly! Kyo lets O Reilly back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kyo swats away the attempt to clinch by O Reilly.
A little jabbing left from Kyo on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
A big left from O Reilly misses.
O Reilly connects with a leg kick. Kyo looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
A cross from O Reilly lands.
O Reilly fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Kyo thuds his right hand into O Reilly's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
O Reilly is rocked!
Ryuji O Reilly's cut is getting worse.
O Reilly defending well as Kyo loads up on a big left hand.
Kyo lands a nice hook to O Reilly's body. O Reilly takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
O Reilly cracks Kyo with a right hand to the side of the head.
Kyo just misses with a punch to the body.
Kyo throws the left hand but O Reilly avoids the punch easily.
Kyo lands a big right hook! O Reilly looks hurt but is still standing! Kyo lands a left jab and another right hook! This time O Reilly falls down and Kyo dives in with a huge hammer fist! O Reilly's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Kyo runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Rokurou Kyo!
An out of breath Rokurou Kyo thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
