Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sum Ting Wong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones has chosen Take my hand as his entrance music. Brian Jones has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sum Ting Wong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Brian Jones!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, William Peck and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wong throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Jones stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Jones motions for Wong to come forward. Jones throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Jones keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Jones is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Jones fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Wong is out of range.
Wong is looking to clinch.
Jones thumps Wong with a low kick.
Wong pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Donk. Jones catches Wong right on the button with a cross.
Wong is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Wong tries to close the distance and clinch but Jones swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Jones shoots in and drives through. Wong sprawls well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wong tries to work over Jones's front leg with a kick but Jones checks it.
Wong looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Jones turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Jones keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Wong looks to throw the jab but Jones is out of range.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Jones.

Wong blocks a low kick nicely.
Jones has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Wong throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Wong drives through and clinches with Jones against the cage.
Jones stalling in the clinch but Wong improves position.
Jones jumps guard but Wong stands there with Jones around his waist. Jones gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Jones goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Jones is trying to maintain a safe position but Wong gets an underhook and turns Jones into the cage.

Jones is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Sum Ting Wong has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brian Jones.
The referee is keeping an eye on Jones - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Jones is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
A short body shot lands from Jones as the two fighters clinch.
Wong lands a hook that snaps the head of Jones backwards.

Jones is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Jones is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Jones wants to pass to mount but Wong is defending the position.

Jones is looking for a kimura but Wong is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Jones to get the leverage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Wong is trying to control but can't.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Jones wants to work for an arm triangle but Wong is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Jones in particular looking to stall.

Wong makes his way to full guard, as Jones worked for a kimura.
Wong on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Wong tries to get out of the position.
Wong is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Wong blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Jones is trying to drag Wong to the mat but Wong just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Wong lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Jones or not.
Jones tries to work over Wong's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Wong slowing the pace effectively.
Jones blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Jones is looking to take this one to the mat.
Wong looking to throw knees to the head but Jones is blocking nicely.

Jones jumps guard and drags Wong to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Jones has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Wong can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Wong knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jones on the ground.
Jones is trying to hold Wong in close to prevent damage but Wong has managed to pass into half guard.

Wong is thwarting Jones's attempts to control the position.
Wong is pressing down on Jones's thigh, looking to free his foot. Jones is holding on for now.
Jones tries to roll over but Wong keeps him under control.
Wong keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jones has a hand on Wong's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Wong takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Jones is trying to escape the mount.
Wong controlling the position easily from mount.
Wong continues to stall.
Jones manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Jones moves into full guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Jones is looking to cinch up a triangle. Wong throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Jones's body to avoid the submission. Jones has instead reached around Wong's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Jones arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:29 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Brian Jones!
