The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Furnica looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Dupuis with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Furnica seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Dupuis for as long as he can get away with.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Dupuis misses with a takedown attempt - Furnica sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Furnica shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Dupuis eats them both and turns towards Furnica to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
A punch lands to the side of Dupuis 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Furnica is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Dupuis can do to turn this around?

Dupuis shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Furnica sprawls well. Furnica wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Dupuis gets slowly back to his feet.

Dupuis postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Furnica is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Dupuis, into his guard.

Dupuis has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Furnica can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
