Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Seamus Gooch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodrigo Figueroa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Figueroa dives in for a single leg takedown but Gooch sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Gooch shoots in but Figueroa avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Gooch digs a good body shot into Figueroa's ribs.
Gooch shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Figueroa defends it nicely.
No joy there for Gooch, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Gooch shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Figueroa as he jumps to the side.
Gooch swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Figueroa was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.

Figueroa shoots in but Gooch avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Gooch's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Figueroa will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Gooch fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Figueroa avoids it really well and circles away.
Gooch scores with a sloppy right hand. Figueroa should have avoided that one.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Figueroa breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

and Figueroa counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Figueroa.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Figueroa drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Figueroa seems to have locked his on tight now - Gooch screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Figueroa, as he picks up the win!
