Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alejandro Booker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bobby Cole!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Ian Loll and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cole will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Cole closes the distance and clinches up with Booker, looking for a takedown. Cole pushes Booker against the cage but Booker circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Cole.

Booker explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

Cole pushes Booker up against the cage in a clinch.

Booker gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Booker seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Cole trying to control from the bottom.

Cole keeping hold of Booker's head, controlling as best he can.
Booker is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Cole is trying to get back to full guard.
Cole pushes Booker off looking to stand but Booker dives back in and keeps control.

Cole is defending against the submission attempts here by Booker.
Cole wants to control but Booker is keeping busy.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Booker with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Cole is trying to control but Booker passes into side control!

Booker decides to stand back up.
Bobby Cole seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Booker moves into the clinch.

Cole pulls guard effortlessly.
Booker is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Cole can do anything to dispel that myth.

Booker drops back looking for a leg! Cole is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Cole manages to kick Booker off! Booker jumps back into Cole's guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Booker controls from within his opponent's guard.
Cole is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Cole looks winded!
Booker is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Booker sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Cole's guard.
Booker stalling.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Booker continues to stall.
Cole on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Booker drops an elbow to the side of Cole's head.
Booker sitting and controlling from the half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
More hug and hope from Booker.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Alejandro Booker dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Cole darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Cole is looking to pass Booker's guard but actually Booker recovers to full guard.
Booker is looking to stand up but Cole isn't so interested in that idea.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cole is looking to advance position but Booker has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!


That's one minute gone in the round.

Booker throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Cole has his hands clasped together but Booker breaks the hold and Cole is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Booker!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Alejandro Booker!
