Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Clyde Bennett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mako Liack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Liack closes the distance and pushes Bennett back into the cage.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Liack is nestled in close to Bennett, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Bennett might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Liack is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Liack is taking a breather. Bennett says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Liack seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Bennett is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Liack scores with a couple of nice shots.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Liack wants to get back to his feet but Bennett is holding on tight.
Liack takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Bennett wants to control but Liack is having none of it.

Bennett is working an open guard so Liack takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Mako Liack seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Liack changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bennett tries to avoid it but Liack manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bennett to the ground. Bennett escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Liack shoots in for a takedown but Bennett shows good takedown defense.
As Liack tries to get set, Bennett tries to push him back and clinch up but Liack manages to avoid the attempt.
Clyde Bennett has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mako Liack.

Bennett is trying to control Liack's posture. Liack takes advantage of the lull and advances to side control. He also appears to have an arm triangle here! Uh oh, big trouble for Bennett!
