The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The Blitz shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Crolla is trying to defend but The Blitz finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Crolla is trying to stand up here but The Blitz is controlling him well.
The Blitz slows the pace down in half guard.
Crolla has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. The Blitz is working away from the top position though.
Crolla tries to kick The Blitz off but The Blitz keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The Blitz takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The Blitz is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
