The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Anni Minnemäki and Matti Vanhoillinen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kerr slaps away a takedown attempt from Blaa, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Kerr throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Nice takedown defense from Kerr. No joy for Blaa on that attempt.
Blaa shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Santos Kerr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Occe Blaa.
Kerr throws a head kick but Blaa moves out of range.
Blaa fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Kerr has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Blaa forces Kerr back against the cage and clinches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kerr manages to break the clinch.
Kerr throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Blaa tries to counter with a clinch but Kerr shakes him off and moves away.
Kerr throws a series of punches but Blaa avoids them all with ease.
Kerr tries a head kick but it misses.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Blaa.

Kerr is trying to buck Blaa off.
Kerr can't do much from the bottom here.
Blaa trying to control the action but Kerr is working from the bottom.
Kerr tries to improve position but can't.
Blaa tries to stand but Kerr is controlling his head.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Blaa tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Kerr wants to get back to his feet but Blaa drags him back down.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Kerr gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Kerr has his feet on Blaa's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Blaa changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kerr looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Kerr throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

Occe Blaa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kerr looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Blaa tries to counter with a clinch but Kerr shakes him off and moves away.
Kerr throws a series of punches but Blaa moves out of range.
Blaa dodges the punch combination from Kerr.
Blaa throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kerr blocks the body kick.

Blaa closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Blaa lands in his opponent's guard.
Kerr really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Kerr pulls Blaa in close to prevent any damage.

Blaa won't allow Kerr to sweep him here.
Blaa tries to free his leg and advance position but Kerr is retaining full guard.
Blaa throws a big elbow that misses.
Kerr is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kerr prevents Blaa from standing back up.

Blaa is trying to control Kerr's posture. Kerr takes advantage of the lull and advances to side control. He also appears to have an arm triangle here! Uh oh, big trouble for Blaa! Kerr is rotating here... this could be the end... Blaa is out! Kerr has ended this one emphatically! Great submission!
