The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Decent striking displayed by Showtime there.
Showtime fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Venemies showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Showtime.
Venemies ducks right into an uppercut from Showtime.

Showtime has managed to clinch.
Venemies struggles to land a body shot inside as Showtime controls his hands.
Showtime prevents the takedown attempt.
Showtime is trying to break the clinch but Venemies is controlling him.
Venemies is looking to take this one to the mat.
Venemies misses with a hook to the ribs.
Showtime tries to pull guard but Venemies forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Showtime is trying to push Venemies away but Venemies has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Showtime's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Showtime wants to break the clinch but can't.
Venemies jumps guard but Showtime turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Rick Showtime has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lalli Venemies.
Showtime has had enough of the clinch but Venemies keeps him there for the moment.

Venemies has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Showtime regains guard immediately.

Showtime manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Showtime lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Venemies backs up against the cage.

Showtime lands a hook that stumbles Venemies back into the cage. Showtime follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Venemies to the canvas! Showtime pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Venemies has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
