Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Zack Allan Jr (ranked 4623 p4p, 436 weight class) and Samuel Cooke (ranked 2955 p4p, 297 weight class). Allan Jr comes to the cage accompanied by Red - Damage. The crowd seem to be enjoying Cooke's choice of entrance music: Harm's Way - Warriors Will Reign. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Samuel Cooke!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Bruno Lombardi and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cooke shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Allan Jr pinned against the cage. Allan Jr gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Cooke closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Allan Jr to the mat! Allan Jr manages to get full guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Allan Jr is on top in guard.
Cooke is pulling down on Allan Jr's head to control his posture.
Allan Jr looking to sit in guard and control but Cooke gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Cooke escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Allan Jr gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Allan Jr postures up in Cooke's guard and throws a big left but Cooke blocks it.

Cooke tries to get to full guard but Allan Jr has control of the leg.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Samuel Cooke dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Cooke dives in and grabs Allan Jr's left leg, looking for a takedown. Allan Jr pushes down on Cooke's head and hops out.
Cooke takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
A nice leg kick lands there from Allan Jr.
Cooke tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Allan Jr manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Allan Jr changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Allan Jr throws the kick towards the body but Cooke avoids it.
Allan Jr is looking to chop away at Cooke's legs.
Allan Jr blocks a low kick nicely.

Cooke decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cooke wants to control but Allan Jr is keeping him busy.

Cooke is pressing down on Allan Jr's thigh, looking to free his foot. Allan Jr is holding on for now.
Cooke is trying to control the action in half guard but Allan Jr is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Cooke lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Allan Jr is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Sweat, so we'll see if he gets out of it.

Cooke throws a big elbow that misses.

Allan Jr is pulling down on Cooke's head. It's preventing any offense from Cooke, at least for the moment.

Cooke trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Allan Jr manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!

Cooke has his foot on Allan Jr's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Allan Jr works his way back into a safe position though.

Cooke has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Allan Jr off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Cooke has managed to clinch.
Cooke breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Cooke throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Allan Jr's waist but Allan Jr gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cooke off to one side.
A counter left hand to the body from Allan Jr misses its target.
Cooke throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

and Allan Jr counters with a perfectly timed head kick, knocking Cooke out cold! Wow, that took some serious skill and not a little luck! Allan Jr is taking it in his stride though, strolling around like it's no big deal. What a guy.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:36 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Zack Allan Jr!
