Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kyrie Perry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Burns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Burns has chosen Rock Master Scott & The Dynamic Three - The Roof Is On Fire as his entrance music. Brian Burns is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kyrie Perry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 16 - 0, fighting out of London, Brian Burns!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burns tries to land a front kick but Perry steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Burns lands with a shot to the body.
Brian Burns seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Perry fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Burns manages to avoid it.
Perry shoots in but no luck this time.
Perry on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Burns. Burns obviously looking to wear him down.
Burns has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Perry shoots in but Burns avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Burns throws a leg kick which misses Perry's front leg but catches the back leg as Perry tries to avoid it.
Perry will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Burns shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Burns drives through with a takedown into Perry's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Burns gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Perry has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Burns after a bit of a struggle.
Burns has a couple of punches blocked by Perry.

Perry gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Burns is on top in guard.

Perry keeping full guard, as Burns tries to pass.
Burns won't allow Perry to get back to his feet.
Burns wants to pass the guard but Perry is keeping the position.
Burns advances position into side control!
Burns content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Burns is looking to take a break and control but Perry is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Perry pushes Burns away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Burns gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Burns trying to control the position but Perry is working away.
Perry wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Burns is looking to take a break and control but Perry is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

That's time! Perry's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Burns leaves Perry with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Perry closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Burns's guard.

Burns throws his legs up looking for a submission but Perry uses it to pass to side control.
Burns is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Perry throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Check out the look on Perry's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Burns wants to control but Perry postures up.
Burns keeps Perry under control for a moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Burns gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Burns has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Perry is working away from the top position though.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Burns holds on and takes a little breather.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Let's hope that Burns has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Perry shoots in looking for a takedown but Burns manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Perry's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Burns throws a front kick that sends Perry stumbling back into the cage.

Burns explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Burns stalks Perry and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Perry's face. Perry staggers backwards, shaken.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Perry checks a leg kick.

Perry fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Brian Burns seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Burns lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Burns lands a slapping body shot.
Burns feints and then cracks Perry's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Perry down.
Burns misses with a wild body shot.
Burns looks for the body kick but Perry saw that one coming.
Burns stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Burns wants it to stay on the feet.

Perry fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Burns is looking to slow Perry down with leg kicks.

Perry tries to score a power double leg takedown but Burns sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Perry somewhat.
Burns bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Perry's head.
Burns cracks Perry with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Burns shoots in and gets a takedown into Perry's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Perry squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.

Burns jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Perry manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Burns working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Burns has hold of Perry's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Perry seems comfortable defending it but Burns has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Perry is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Perry is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Burns couldn't care less - he's delighted!
