Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Masa Wasa (ranked 2363 p4p, 242 weight class) and Daft Young (ranked 1680 p4p, 186 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Wasa might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Welcome To The Jungle. Young has chosen Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger as his entrance music. Masa Wasa has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 14 - 0, fighting out of London, Daft Young!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Wesley Smith and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wasa connects with a body shot that sends Young's belly button to the back.
Wasa buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Wasa throws the left hand but Young avoids the punch easily.
Wasa swats away the attempt to clinch by Young.
Young lands a jab to Wasa's midsection.
Young tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Wasa bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Young throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Wasa sees it coming and avoids it easily.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Young enables Wasa to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Young manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Wasa is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Young doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Wasa.

Young has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Wasa is working away from the top position though.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Wasa is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Young defends it well.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Wasa is trying to control the action in half guard but Young is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Wasa is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Young is just riding it out for now. Wasa eventually gives up the hold.

That was a close round but I would say that Masa Wasa will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Wasa goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Young has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Wasa but great work by Young.

Wasa drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Young manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Wasa has Young in his guard.

Young takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Daft Young showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

I would just about give that final round to Daft Young.
Well Young has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
