Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Deluxe (ranked 961 p4p, 117 weight class) and Chris Runt (ranked 3064 p4p, 361 weight class). Deluxe comes to the cage accompanied by Intelligent Hoodlum - Arrest The President. Johnny Deluxe has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Johnny Deluxe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chris Runt!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, John Kavanagh and Reed Andrews.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Runt connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Deluxe.
Deluxe displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Runt throws out the jab.
Runt throws a hook to the side of Deluxe's head but Deluxe sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Runt lands with a shot to the body.
A telegraphed right hand from Runt misses the target.

Deluxe darts in and clinches Runt up against the cage.
Runt pushes Deluxe back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Deluxe is looking to take this one to the mat.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Deluxe.
Runt lands a left hand that snaps the head of Deluxe backwards.
Runt prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Johnny Deluxe. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Deluxe is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Runt pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Deluxe tries a body shot but Runt blocks it.
Deluxe goes for a takedown attempt but Runt pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Runt waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Deluxe.
Deluxe throwing a counter right hand but Runt manages to avoid it.
Deluxe slips under a jab.
Deluxe lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Deluxe ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Deluxe listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Runt staying out of range there.

Runt drops Deluxe with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Deluxe looks back up at him and smiles so Runt waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

It looks like Johnny Deluxe has been cut.
Deluxe throws a right hand that misses
and Runt scores with a counter punch that sends Deluxe to the canvas! Runt smells blood - he's punishing Deluxe with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Deluxe has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chris Runt!
Chris Runt decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
