Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rob Watson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roger Moser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rob Watson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Roger Moser!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Watson enables Moser to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Watson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Watson has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Moser is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Moser working hard to break the clinch.

Moser successfully pulls guard.
Moser wants to get back to his feet but Watson is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Watson missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Watson with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Moser is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Watson landing with the ground and pound.

Moser is looking to stand back up but Watson counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Moser.
Watson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Moser's head.
Watson drops an elbow to the side of Moser's head.
Watson not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Watson missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Moser is concentrating on defense, preventing Watson from advancing position.

Moser is trying to stand up here but Watson is controlling him well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Moser regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Watson.
Moser utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Watson chips away with some ground and pound.
Watson cracks Moser with a solid left hand.

Watson drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Moser manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Watson has Moser in his guard.


The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Watson is looking for a triangle but Moser pushes his legs off easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Watson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Moser throws a big right hand that misses.

Watson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Moser can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Watson is looking for a triangle but Moser pushes his legs off easily.

Moser gets to his feet. Watson looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Moser throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Watson counters with a single leg into guard. Moser didn't expect that.

Moser scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Watson is looking to clinch but Moser is avoiding it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A bone on bone clash there as Watson blocks the leg kick.
Watson appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.

Moser scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Watson has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Moser is on him like a limpet, forcing Watson back against the cage.
Watson is breathing heavily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Moser has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Moser breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Moser shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Moser is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Watson reverses the position - he's now on top in Moser's guard.
Moser wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Watson manages to pass to side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rob Watson dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Watson takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Roger Moser is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Moser misses with a combination

and Watson counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Watson.

Moser has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Watson has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Watson swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Watson stalls.
Moser being controlled against the cage.
Watson seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.

Moser manages to break the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Watson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Moser tries to close the distance and clinch up but Watson swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Moser drives through with a powerful takedown. That's hurt Watson!

Watson pushes Moser off and scrambles back to his feet.


Watson is rocked!
Oh Watson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Moser sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Watson's defenses. It connects perfectly with Watson's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Roger Moser!
