The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bjj decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Fowler knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bjj on the ground.
Bjj slows the pace down in half guard.

Bjj stands up from half guard.

Bjj closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Bjj is controlling the pace.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bjj looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Fowler trying to control here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bjj keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Fowler is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Fowler is looking to escape.

Bjj decides to stand and escape the position.
Bjj swings for the body but Fowler moves out of range.
Fowler appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Fowler really is a fat lump.

Bjj fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Fowler sprawls well initially but Bjj persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Bjj keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Bjj has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Fowler defend it? Bjj steps over the head and cranks it - Fowler is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Bjj!
