The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dabrowski wants to land a leg kick but Watts is out of range.
Watts is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Dabrowski.
Watts stuffs the takedown.

Oooh a lovely combination from Dabrowski sends Watts down but not out. Dabrowski dives into side control looking to finish.


It looks like Mariano Watts has been cut.

Dabrowski tries for a kimura but Watts is defending well.

Dabrowski goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Watts rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Dabrowski's guard! Nice work there by Watts!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

and Watts holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Watts has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Dabrowski is trying to keep an underhook but Watts manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Dabrowski is looking for a sweep. Watts is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Watts looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Dabrowski with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Watts decides to stand up.
Dabrowski tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Watts swivels and escapes.
Dabrowski closes the distance but Watts moves to the side

and Watts counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Dabrowski is looking to stand back up but Watts counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Dabrowski.

Watts has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Dabrowski is trying to maintain the position but Watts is very close to passing his half guard.

Watts is taking a breather. Dabrowski says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Dabrowski is trying to stand back up but Watts is controlling him

Dabrowski has one foot on Watts's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

and Watts counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Watts.

Watts has picked Dabrowski up - he's going for a ride! Watts dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Dabrowski pushes Watts off but Watts dives into side control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Dabrowski is working to avoid the ground and pound but Watts connects with a decent elbow.
Dabrowski is trying to strike from the bottom but Watts has passed into full mount.
Watts postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Dabrowski looks a forlorn figure.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Mariano Watts will probably get the nod.

Watts decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Dabrowski tries to kick Watts off but Watts keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Watts slips a nice elbow through Dabrowski's hands, connecting with Dabrowski's forehead.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Watts stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Watts is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Dabrowski can do to turn this around?

and Watts counters with a left and a right that stings Dabrowski.
Mariano Watts is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

and Watts counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Dabrowski has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Watts is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Watts is trying to drag Dabrowski to the mat but Dabrowski just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Watts has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Dabrowski uses from the top position.

Watts has control of Dabrowski's left arm, preventing Dabrowski from doing any damage.

Watts utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Watts has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Dabrowski is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Watts has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Dabrowski is looking to defend but Watts has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Dabrowski! Watts pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Dabrowski taps out and this one is all over!
