The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Bratch enables Rosenthal to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Bratch manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Rosenthal looking to sit in guard and control but Bratch gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Bratch pushes down on Rosenthal's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Rosenthal wants to control but Bratch is keeping busy.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bratch works his foot free and advances to mount.

Rosenthal is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Bratch misses with a head shot.
Rosenthal tries to lock up and control but Bratch gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Bratch throws some wild stikes that Rosenthal manages to avoid easily.
Bratch can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Rosenthal is looking to escape.
Rosenthal is trying desperately to improve position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bratch looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Bratch sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Bratch punching from mount but Rosenthal doing a good job of avoiding damage.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Bratch throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Bratch takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Bratch is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Bratch extends the arm and Rosenthal is forced to tap!
