Coming up we have a bantamweight kickboxing rules bout between Doug Butabi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Superior (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Max Superior!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Michael Johnstone and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Butabi throws a right hand that Superior ducks under and follows up with a left that Superior also avoids with ease.
Butabi definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Butabi tries a head kick but it misses.
Superior looks like he wants to counter punch here.
A shot to the body from Butabi misses
and Superior counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Doug Butabi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Superior scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Butabi doesn't seem bothered though.
Superior throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Butabi is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Butabi really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Superior is trying to push Butabi away but Butabi has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Nice straight punches there by Superior. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Superior.

and Superior counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Superior staggers Butabi with a jab and knocks him down with a follow up straight! Butabi looks in trouble, will he beat the count?! The count has reached 5 and he's only back to 1 knee - it's going to be close! 6,7,8 - he's up! Just in time and the ref is going to let the fight continue!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Oh Butabi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Butabi with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Superior to score with a decent uppercut.

Superior jabs Butabi right on the nose. Butabi blinks but takes it well.
Some bone on bone action there as Superior checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Superior looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Butabi moves forwards but Superior connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Superior tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Butabi was well out of range. Poor timing from Superior.
Superior takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Superior connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Butabi momentarily.
Butabi lands a really nice looking cross but Superior seems unphased.

Butabi tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Superior manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Butabi looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Superior stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Max Superior comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Superior winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
