PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Martinez Eluard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hyman Krustofski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Krustofski comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Shell Shocked kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 16 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Martinez Eluard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hyman Krustofski!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Wesley Smith and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eluard scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Krustofski doesn't seem bothered though.
Krustofski tries to score a power double leg takedown but Eluard sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Krustofski somewhat.
Krustofski takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Eluard shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Eluard is working for a kimura but Krustofski is defending it quite comfortably.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Krustofski can do anything to dispel that myth.
Eluard takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Eluard seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Krustofski for as long as he can get away with.

Eluard is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Krustofski can do to turn this around?

Eluard is taking a breather. Krustofski says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Martinez Eluard overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Eluard wants to control the pace but Krustofski is squirming around nicely.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Krustofski takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Eluard looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Krustofski shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Eluard as he avoids it easily.

Eluard has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Eluard has an Americana. Krustofski didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Eluard is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Eluard hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

An out of breath Martinez Eluard thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
The defeated Hyman Krustofski had this to say: 'I hate grapplers. Who wants to roll on the mat with sweaty boys? Fags, thats it.'.
