Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Junior Dos Santos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 43 - 41 - 2, fighting out of London, Carlos Strikes!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Atkins and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Strikes shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Strikes was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Dos Santos tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
Dos Santos really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Dos Santos drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Strikes manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Dos Santos has Strikes in his guard.

Dos Santos throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Strikes escapes and throws Dos Santos's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Carlos Strikes showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Strikes wants to clinch up but Dos Santos keeps it at a distance.

Dos Santos has his feet on Strikes's thighs here. He's pushed Strikes off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Strikes screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

Junior Dos Santos decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
