Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gene Warren!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ricky Sabatoni!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Jonathan Paton and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sabatoni has managed to clinch.
Sabatoni is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Sabatoni is looking to break free of the clinch but Warren has double underhooks.
Warren leaning his opponent against the cage.
Sabatoni is looking for a takedown.
Warren tries to pull guard but Sabatoni won't allow it.
Warren jumps guard but Sabatoni turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Warren jumps guard but Sabatoni stands there with Warren around his waist. Warren gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gene Warren. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Warren tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Come on Warren - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Warren tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Warren trying to control the position but instead, Sabatoni has worked for underhooks and has pushed Warren into the cage.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Sabatoni as Warren tries to tie him up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sabatoni tries to break free but Warren pushes him back against the cage.
Sabatoni wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
The referee is keeping an eye on Warren - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Warren tries to pull guard but Sabatoni forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Warren jumps guard but Sabatoni turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Warren tries to pull guard but Sabatoni holds him up against the cage and eventually Warren drops back down to his feet.
Sabatoni wants to take the fight to the mat but Warren manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Warren fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Warren is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Sabatoni to keep the fight standing.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Warren stalling.
Sabatoni wants to get back to striking at distance but Warren won't allow it.
Warren keeps control of Sabatoni as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Warren breaks the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A punch combination from Sabatoni misses.
Sabatoni throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Warren counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Sabatoni is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Warren slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Sabatoni.
Sabatoni is doing well to control the position and prevent Warren from advancing to side control.
Warren will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Warren is controlling the pace.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sabatoni is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Warren pulls his head out easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sabatoni moves into full guard.

Warren stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Warren takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.


It looks like Gene Warren has been cut.
A jab from Sabatoni does it's job there.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Warren tries to move into range but Sabatoni moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.


Warren is rocked!
Warren moves out of range of the body kick from Sabatoni.
Oh Warren is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sabatoni connects with a superb combination that knocks Warren out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Sabatoni before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Warren!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Ricky Sabatoni!
