Maddocks throws a lazy head kick

and Lara counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Lara.

Maddocks is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Maddocks shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Maddocks was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Lara bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Michael Maddocks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Maddocks shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Lara manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Lara will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Maddocks has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Lara to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Maddocks is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Lara pulls down on the head and he's put Maddocks to sleep! This one is all over!
