The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Djengoue bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Vinson explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Vinson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Djengoue connects with a good right hand that stumbles Vinson. Vinson circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

It looks like Royal Vinson has been cut.

Vinson closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Djengoue's guard.
Djengoue is wriggling around but Vinson manages to pass to half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Vinson stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Djengoue to get to his feet.
Djengoue tries to close the distance and clinch up but Vinson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
