The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jacobs drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Jacobs tries to advance to mount but Watanabe denies him.

Jacobs looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Watanabe can't do much from the bottom here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jacobs tries for a kimura but Watanabe is defending well.

Jacobs thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Jacobs definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jacobs is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Watanabe is trying to escape and Jacobs transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Watanabe is forced to tap! Nice work there by Jacobs! Very nice indeed!
