PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chosu McGrady (ranked 1720 p4p, 193 weight class) and Billy Mundy (ranked 4777 p4p, 441 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mundy tries to close the distance and clinch up but McGrady swats him away and circles back towards the center.
McGrady blocks the body kick.

McGrady moves into range and clinches up with Mundy.
McGrady is working for takedown but Mundy is calmly controlling the position for now.

McGrady pulls Mundy into guard.
McGrady wants to stand up but Mundy is controlling him.
Mundy forces his way into half guard.
Mundy is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McGrady is looking to escape.

Mundy swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and McGrady is now in Mundy's guard. A big mistake from Mundy there, giving up the dominant position!

Mundy has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. McGrady is working away from the top position though.

McGrady wants to work for an arm triangle but Mundy is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
McGrady looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Mundy with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Mundy has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. McGrady is working away from the top position though.
McGrady is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Mundy is hurt! He's hurt bad - McGrady fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Mundy from any more punishment! Congratulations to McGrady! Great finish!
