Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mike Rutherford (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyler Fitzberry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Rutherford might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Genesis - Deep in the Motherlode. Tyler Fitzberry struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 156.6lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Mike Rutherford has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Dirk Anderson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fitzberry misses with a head kick.
Rutherford steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Fitzberry.
Fitzberry closes the distance and clinches.
Rutherford ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Rutherford no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Rutherford working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Fitzberry doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Rutherford is tightening it up a little... Fitzberry has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Fitzberry reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Fitzberry taps out! Nice BJJ there by Rutherford!
