The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Machado or perhaps it was just good defense by Forbes, which made it look bad.
Forbes fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Machado looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Reginald Forbes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Machado gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Machado shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Forbes as he avoids it easily.
Forbes tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Machado manages to circle out of the way.
Forbes works Machado's body with a nice hook.
Forbes cracks Machado with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

It looks like Marcos Machado has been cut.
Machado misses with a takedown attempt
and Forbes counters with a stiff right hand.
Reginald Forbes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcos Machado.
