The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Michael Johnstone and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ligambi looks for a takedown but Booker sprawls well.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ligambi is defended easily by Booker.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Ligambi tries to score a power double leg takedown but Booker sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ligambi somewhat.
Cory Booker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joseph Ligambi.
Booker bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Ligambi's head.
Ligambi gets a double leg takedown into Booker's guard.
Booker is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Ligambi dives into side control.
Booker on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Booker tries to get out of the position.

Ligambi has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Booker's face.

Ligambi takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Booker is in a horrible position here. Ligambi smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

It looks like Cory Booker has been cut.
Ligambi postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Booker looks a forlorn figure.
Booker is rocked!
Ligambi lands a big shot there that rocks Booker but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Oh Booker is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ligambi lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Booker! Ligambi sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Booker and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!
