Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Thurman Patton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sito Sukiki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thurman Patton has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Thurman Patton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sito Sukiki!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Anni Minnemäki and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sukiki is trying hard to land a takedown here. Patton sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Patton manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Sukiki drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sukiki jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Patton will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Patton is looking to stand up but Sukiki isn't so interested in that idea.

Sukiki drops back looking for a leg! Patton is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Patton manages to kick Sukiki off! Sukiki jumps back into Patton's guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Sukiki postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Patton is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Sukiki, into his guard.

Patton won't allow Sukiki to sweep him here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Sito Sukiki will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Sukiki wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Patton has him pressed against the cage.

Sukiki is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Patton can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Sito Sukiki showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Sukiki is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Patton defends well.

Sukiki is looking for a triangle but Patton pushes his legs off easily.

Sukiki has his foot on Patton's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Patton works his way back into a safe position though.
Patton wants to get up but he can't break Sukiki's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Thurman Patton.
I think Sukiki has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
