The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mutuumbe throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Zulu Mutuumbe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mutuumbe is looking to clinch but Clark is avoiding it.

Mutuumbe closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Clark's guard.

Clark manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Clark pulls guard successfully.
Clark seems keen to control Mutuumbe 's posture.
Mutuumbe stopping the sweep attempt from Clark.
Clark pulls Mutuumbe in close to his closed guard and prevents Mutuumbe from doing any damage or advancing position.
Mutuumbe trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Mutuumbe throwing strikes from guard but Clark blocks nicely.
Mutuumbe wants to control from the top but Clark keeps moving.
Mutuumbe might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Clark haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Clark fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Mutuumbe .
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Mutuumbe ! Clark is out on his feet! Mutuumbe rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Clark is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Clark is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
