Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Esteban Dixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Parker Savi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dixon keeps the fight on the outside.

Savi looking to score a takedown here. Dixon is defending well but Savi drives through and ends up in Dixon's guard.
Savi wants to pass the guard but Dixon is keeping the position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Savi accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Dixon tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Dixon throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Savi has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Savi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dixon swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Savi is pushing down on Dixon's leg trying to pass to half guard. Dixon is fighting to maintain full guard but Savi has managed to sneak the leg through.

Dixon is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Savi pulls his head out easily.
Savi passes the guard and advances to mount!
Savi fails to advance to Dixon's back.
Dixon is looking to improve his position but Savi isn't that keen on the idea.

Savi wants to take his opponent's back but Dixon doesn't allow it.

Dixon gets back to half guard.
Dixon wants to control but Savi is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Dixon regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Savi.

Dixon is looking to stand up but Savi isn't so interested in that idea.
Dixon seems keen to control Savi's posture.
Savi postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Savi wants to control from the top but Dixon keeps moving.
Dixon pulls Savi in to control the position.
Dixon will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Savi passes Dixon's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Dixon has a hand on Savi's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Savi takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Dixon is desperately trying to improve his position but Savi has a good base and remains in mount.

Savi has hold of Dixon's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Dixon manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Dixon tries to lock up and control but Savi gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Poor strikes thrown by Savi there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Savi goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Dixon is on top in guard.

Savi working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dixon doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Savi is tightening it up a little... Dixon has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Dixon reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Dixon taps out! Nice BJJ there by Savi!
