PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Wuzz (ranked 328 p4p, 48 weight class) and Arnavut Sevket (ranked 4068 p4p, 548 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 14 - 0, fighting out of New York, David Wuzz!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 8 - 1, fighting out of London, Arnavut Sevket!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sevket pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Wuzz cracks Sevket with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.


It looks like Arnavut Sevket has been cut.

Wuzz rushes Sevket and presses him up against the cage.

Wuzz has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Sevket is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

That was a close round but I would say that David Wuzz will probably get the nod.

It looked like Wuzz was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Sevket looks to land a left hand but Wuzz moved out of range nicely.

Wuzz avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Wuzz wants to clinch up but Sevket keeps it at a distance.

Wuzz has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Sevket is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Wuzz yanks on the arm and Sevket is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Wuzz.

David Wuzz was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
