Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andrea Barone (ranked 3145 p4p, 104 weight class) and Modeous Kahn (ranked 4576 p4p, 157 weight class). Modeous Kahn told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Modeous Kahn!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Steve Montenegro and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A solid leg kick lands there for Barone.
Barone fails with the takedown.
Modeous Kahn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Barone fails to land with a series of punches.
Kahn showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Barone.
Barone feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Barone is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Kahn told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
Barone pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Barone with shots to the head and body - Kahn looks very uncomfortable down there.

Kahn really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Barone. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Barone lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Barone lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Kahn! Barone sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Kahn and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!
